Kimura Performance supplied and ran one of its Trak Racer Sims for accountancy firm Aora Law at the Accountex Exhibition at London’s Excel Exhibition Centre in May. The two-day show attracted a big gathering of Accountant industry personnel and the Aora stand was brought alive by Kimura’s sim, where stand visitors could drive the McLaren 720 GT3 round the famous Brands Hatch GP circuit.
Sam Lindsay of Aora said “It was a fantastic attraction at our stand. Brandon did phenomenally well and was an absolute pleasure to work with the entire time. Professional, courteous, and very interesting to talk to about his own racing and SIM racing. I would love to continue this working relationship with Kimura, and may have to borrow the sim and Brandon again in the future! “
The event, which was the first of its kind for the club, was delivered by the Kimura team and a chance for the club members to drive the famous Donington Grand Prix circuit in an Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The team hosted the event at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall.
The Royal Automobile Club is the oldest private motoring club in the world based in London and a country club in Epsom.
This was the first qualifying round of two with the final to be held in November at the club during London Motor Week. Club members also tried out various esports games such as WRC, Mario Kart and FIFA.
The team received positive feedback from the members who are already looking forward to the next event in the Summer 2023!
In December 2022 Kimura provided and ran two of its Trak Racer sims at the prestigious Annual Charity Winchester Ball at the Hilton Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London.
Guests at the ball drove on the Brands Hatch track to set a fastest time to be added to the ’Top Gear’ style leader board. It got quite competitive as ball-goers battled it out to be fastest.
Kimura staff were on hand to tutor and advise on the quickest set up and lines around the track, it proved very popular, and it was an excellent side attraction to the event.
Kimura set the sims up in the afternoon, ran the event and then took them out of the hotel the same night in an easy procedure.
The events team will be back at the ball in December to provide excellent service and entertainment.
