Mayer Steps Up To Full Season of LMP3 European Le Mans Series

Spanish domiciled Max Mayer (19)  will race a full season with Bolton based RLR MSport in the 2024 European Le Mans Series.

After a successful campaign in 2023 Ligier European Series in the Ligier JS2R with a win at Motorland and a 2nd at Spa, Mayer tested the Ligier JSP320 prototype LMP3 at the end of the season and was  impressed with the grip and aero and was immediately on the pace.

The Ligier JSP320 LMP3 car will be run by RLR MSport with co-drivers James Dayson and Bailey Voisin sharing the car with Mayer who bring considerable experience making this partnership a formidable team.

Mayer is targeting Rookie of the Year in the 2024 season with consistent results and believes podiums and race wins are obtainable.

Mayer’s ambitions are clear, a successful 2024 season and a move to LMP2 in 2025 to contest the bigger races such as Daytona 24 Hours and Sebring 12 Hours. Mayer targets a full factory supported Hypercar drive in the years that follow and is building his experience with prototypes and racing at iconic tracks such as Spa, Portimao and Le Mans where he finished 5th in 2023 in the Ligier support race.

Mayer’s sponsor partners for another season are Nerol Lubricants, Novo Nordisk and Super Sapiens.

The 2024 European Le Mans Series kicks off in April and runs through until October.
