The Kimura Racing Team entered 2 teams into Round 1 of the GT Challenge at Donington GP.
Ryan Micallef & Matt Caruana were in one team in car #716.
Philip Ansell & Mert Menderes were in the second car #52.
Kimura Racing made a dominant appearance with both teams, driving the BMW M4 GT3. Throughout the race, our teams maintained a strong lead. Our lead car, #716, achieved an 18-second gap over third place, while #52 secured an 8-second lead ahead of third. There were no major incidents, and they played their strategy perfectly, ending up in a smooth event.
Joey Cottenden said ‘We are very pleased with the quality and consistency both teams showed throughout the race. They carried out the strategy perfectly across the board. We are now looking forward to the next race where we are hoping to continue the good form shown by all the drivers’.
The final round at Silverstone will be televised directly by Motorsport UK.
