Nürburgring 24 Hour Race Preview

The Kimura Racing Sim Team will be competing in the Nürburgring 24 Hour iRacing Special Event this weekend.

The 24 Hours Nürburgring (ADAC 24h Rennen Nürburgring) is a 24-hour endurance event held on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It also utilizes part of the GP-Strecke course to form a total lap length of 16.1 miles (25.9 km). This iRacing Special Event features team racing in cars from the GT3, GT4, Touring Car, and Porsche Cup classes.

This will be the third race of the year after the team’s races in Bathurst 12 hours & Sebring 12 hours. Once again Kimura will be entering 2 teams into this race:

  1. Pro Team (Pro Team driver Matthew Caruana will be racing with Riley Philips this time round with both drivers having strong iRacing ratings and with Riley having impressed during Sebring in particular)
  2. Academy Team (Eliza Seville, Formula Woman Champion 2022, will be making her second appearance in the Kimura Racing team and will be competing alongside the talented Floris Wijers who was a former F1 Esports Driver for Haas who is stepping into the seat this weekend)

The team will be competing in the BMW GT3 car.

Brandon Abraham has been putting the team through their paces in training and is hoping that both teams can show small improvements in their driving and obtain a podium spot.

Wishing the team, the best of luck during the weekend ahead!
